solo dance installation by danish dancer and performer Emilie Klitgaard Jungersen
Is our excessive hoarding and consumerism triggered or produced by the society?
This solo piece explores the human action of accumulating more than we need.
My research is based on creating a physical vocabulary embodying the, at times, overwhelming powers of human emotions and instincts. With a clear trajectory in the state of both mind and body, I will allow a kind of possessiveness to gain more and more presence causing all rational and sympathetic behaviour to disappear.
The work deals with the thematic of the consumer society from an individual, emotional and personal point of view. Performing in a costume made from waste, the political statement is undeniable, but with zero pointed fingers.
