Marlene Bonnesen holds a BA Diploma in dance and choreography from The Danish National School of Performing Arts. She is freelancing within the contemporary dance and performance field, working with various independent choreographers and groups such as GAZART and Running Sculptures. From 2014 to 2017 she was working in the Catalan company Ángels Margarit / cia. Mudances in Barcelona. As a constant, she is part and co-organiser of the artistic collective Danseatelier; a physical space and a group of colleagues, friends and collaborators working together and running a shared atelier in Copenhagen. Her artistic drive has many faces and phases, and she often keeps her interest in dance and choreography alive by sharing knowledge in several teaching constellations.
