The Continuous Study of Letting Go
Participants are invited to join DeLeònCompany for a two-hour movement class. In this class the participants will be presented with an introduction into the company’s current movement practice ” The Continuous Study of Letting Go”. The class will focus on opening up the body’s physical and mental state in order to produce continuous organic movement. Through a wide range of tools the aim is to connect both imagination and physicality and expand the body’s already complex system. For this workshop no previous movement training is required but it is encouraged. Moveable training clothes and water is needed for participation. The organizer reminds you that even though we all take care accidents might happen. Moving is at your own risk!
About DeLeónCompany
DeLeónCompany is a Copenhagen based contemporary dance company founded in 2013 by choreographer Jens Schyth Brøndum. DeLeónCompany works from an intuitive need of moving based on very physical improvisation techniques. DeLeón´s pieces are presenting the body in an always moving, dynamic form that invites the audience into a collected poetic universe of physicality in close relation to the soundscape and light.
