Simone Svane and Nikoline Due will have their residency at musikbiblioteket in Odense. They met when studying dance at Oure Dance Academy, to hereafter continue their studies in Spain and Germany/Italy. They are coworking with musician and composer Hans Kristian Hannibal-Bach for the first time.
With interest in creating and exploring new movements they're starting from point 0. Letting the fantasy and creativity lead the way a path being curios and welcome each others experience and knowledge gained over the years. With the desire to be moved by text, music and sounds, they will the 1st of february present a duet in collaboration with musician Hans Kristian Hannibal-Bach.
Simone Svane is born and raised in Odense, where she from an early age started dancing. Simone went to the Royal Ballet school in Odense and after she Graduated from Oure Sport and Performance in 2014. Simone is educated professional dancer with a BA Honours in Dance from The Institute of the Arts in Barcelona in 2017. During her education she was an intern in Martz Contemporary Dance Company, who toured around in Spain and Malaysia. She has also been an ambassador for World Dance Movement Intensive. Simone got after her education in Barcelona an apprenticeship with Black Box Dance Company and after she got into the recently founded dance company OneWeekDanceCompany. Simone has been performing pieces by choreographers as Eva Sánchez Martz, Andoni Larrabietti, Bradley Shelver, Tim Rushton, Stephanie Thomasen, Thomas Bentin and Marie Brolin-Tani. Simone is currently teaching at the Royal Ballet school in Holstebro and the Danish Talent Academy in ballet, contemporary and jazz.
Nikoline Due is born and raised in Odense. Her interest of ballet and contemporary dance started at Oure sport and performance where she spent 4 years and graduated in 2014. Hereafter Nikoline studied 3 years at Contemporary Dance School Hamburg, where she during the education did internship at Sticky Trace Dance Company. After graduating Nikoline received scholarship to NOD International contemporary Dance program in Italy, spokesman for international dance and newest trends and repertoire. She moved to Copenhagen in January, where she shortly after won dansekapellets choreography competition 2019 with the group piece I Saw it Drop, both as choreographer and dancer. Nikoline is also one of the dancers of the recently founded dance company “oneweekdancecompany” Nikoline has been dancing in pieces by Bradley Shelver, Helder Seabra, Idan Sharabi and Emanuel Gat.
