Happy Days is a project where dance artists Rea-Liina Brunou and Anna Mustonen work together with their children. Their aim is to create ways of working and performative situations where both adults and children could spend time together effortlessly. They wish to combine all the energy, astonishment, frustration and love the children have to all the exhaustion, astonishment, frustration and love the parents feel.
DANCE ALL YEAR LONG -residency is a starting point of this project, which will be premiered at Kutomo, Turku (FI) in October 2019.
Rea-Liina Brunou is a dance artist, graduated from Theatre Academy Helsinki, Master of Arts (Dance) 2009. Since graduation, she has been working as a dancer and a choreographer in several productions in Finland. She also makes solo performances, video installations, music videos and collaborations with people from different fields of art. Anna Mustonen is a Helsinki based choreographer, dancer and dance teacher. Her work has been seen especially at Zodiak Center for New Dance in Helsinki and Kutomo in Turku, as well as in Baltic Circle Festival, Moving in November Festival and Helsinki Festival. She graduated as a choreographer (MA) from Theatre Academy Helsinki in 2010 and as a dancer (BA) from Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in 2007. In addition to working on her upcoming choreographic works she is currently dancing in the upcoming pieces of choreographers Anna Maria Häkkinen and Masi Tiitta. She is also finishing her studies to become a yoga teacher.
